Owl City – Fireflies

September 6th, 2009 | by Masa |

It’s been a while since the last time I found a singer that makes me this excited. Owl City, consisting of one member, Adam Young first became popular through MySpace and received more than 5 million plays on tracks. Currently Owl City’s album ranks at 11th, but I am expecting it will soon go up higher, and stay in the chart for a while.

    Hi there,
Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day!

This is one of the best songs I’ve heard in a while… not because it’s difficult to compose etc… but the sum of everything (vocals, and feel) really depict something special… something most of us inevitably grow to forget–which is how cool it was to be a kid again; valuing the simplicity of life, instead of being involved and responsible in the complex, missing out on a different form of conciousness.

If you dug this track, I found Mute Math – Typical (released in 07 or 08) to be just as great; worth checking out.
