During this trip, I did not encounter the adversity that is currently occurring in Bangkok, Thailand. I left the city on the day when the protest started. I was very lucky, but my adventurous side wished I could see more reality going in Thailand.
During this trip, I could only capture the wonderful sites of Thailand, which people dream of. Inexpensive good food. History of Buddhism. Heart-jumping night culture. Warm climate and beautiful nature.
I would love to go back to Thailand again.

Anyways, pictures from the trip was uploaded to my picasaweb page. Please check it out!

For the last couple of months, I’ve been contemplating how I can transform our new one bedroom apartment into something spacious yet, holds all the junks we have (40 bottles of wine and other alcohol beverage, cooking equipments (pressure cook, sandwich maker, etc…) we expect to use when we prepare meal to our friends and feel cool about ourselves…once or twice a year maybe…). I discovered interior decorating is one of my few passions, and the satisfaction I get from it is huge always. However, not comparable to this guy.

Tokyo also has a limited space as much as Hong Kong does. I used to live in an tiny studio apartment that had only 19 square meters, which included unit bathroom. After almost a year of attempts to make the room spacious yet well-functioning, I finally came into the solution: moving into bigger place.

But this guy transform a tiny limited space into amazingly-functioning and awesome space! It looks like a sci-fie movie about our future life.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lg9qnWg9kak&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width=470" height="285">

However, with great respect, I still prefer to have a bed set up before I come home especially after tough working day or successful romantic date.

Hello everyone,

I apologize for no updates for the long time. Right now, I am writing this post from Thailand, which is an awesome travel destination.

I visited Wat Arun, Temple of the Dawn, a week ago and felt something is urging to be reborn inside me. Spending too much time working in Japan where it’s all about “wa,” sense of shared understanding between people, makes me forget the importance of getting outside of my comfort zone.

So, as my first step, I decided to track my life in this website. If I think the website is getting boring, so is my life.

Is it a good kind or bad kind? I don’t know. But I’m going to mention anyway. Just like tourists taking pictures. And most of you probably don’t care. Neither do I…well, most of the time. I think that’s the attitude which make you enjoy sightseeing in Japan. Forget dogma and your own culture, and naturally have fun. I am going to help you for that in this blog.

When you’re listening to a particular song on the radio or your iPod or whatever, sometimes you might think of another different song. And next thing, you are thinking you want to make your own playlist. At least it happens to me. That is because your brain find some similartilies and common between those songs, and that gives you a pleasurable moment.

This artist, Norwegian Recycling gives the same kind of pleasure to us. He mash up several different song and ceate one complete song (it’s like a music version of potato salad.) If you hear it, you will be amazed how those songs collude with each other. He currently let everyone download these mash up songs from his website, http://norwegianrecycling.multiply.com for free, asking for donation instead of charging. I post some of his work here ↓. Try and find what songs are in it.

Today, I had a wonderful experience at California Academy of Science’s new pre-opening event. I’m so much in love with this city (and inner Richmond) again.

California Academy of Science consists of Acquarium, Planetarium, and exhibition of many interesting creatures such as aligators and penguins. Today, Planetarium was still not open. But I am very interested in going back there again to see it. They also have an educational space for people to make a research. They are going to open for public for free on their grand-opening day, which is September 27th Saturday. So, don’t miss it!!

For more information -> California Academy of Science Homepage

First time I heard they are making acquarium in Golden Gate Park, my cynical side thought “another waste of money…first of all, what kind of acquarium can they make in a middle of park?” Well, they made one of the best acquarium I’ve ever been in my life!!! While I was in the building, I completely forgot that I was in Golden Gate Park.

One of the factors contributing to the success of this museum is that it takes you to the great scientistic world. There are so many undiscovered things in this world. And people romanticize them, and try to find out. I think that’s what is science is all about. Even though I am not the “scientist type,” and certainly all the science classes (physics, chemistry, biology) weren’t my favorites, I felt like I became a kid again, who is wondering and excited about all the mysteries in this world.

Here’s alittle preview for you.

There are many many kinds of creatures from ancient period.

You also can have a view of the fish tank from the bottom, which is very cool and surrealistic view. It looks like fishes are flying in the sky.

I’ve been a huge fan of acquarium. I can spend hours and hours just looking at fish. But I think in this acquarium, anybody can spend hours.
